MOT's MOT's are priced at £50.00. We carry out MOT tests on petrol and diesel vehicles. The new style MOT certificate is a computer printed document. The certificate now has a peel off windscreen sticker to remind you of the MOT renewal date. The MOT test check that your vehicle complies with the minimum standard required for lawful us on the road and is not a substitute for a proper and regular service The MOT is a highly specialised examination of safety related components on a vehicle to ensure that they are not worn to such an excessive level so as to render the vehicle unsafe for use on the road. The test also includes a check on the vehicle’s exhaust emissions. The MOT pass criteria are only to the minimum standard for road safety, unlike a service inspection, which considers the future serviceability of components. Therefore it is quite possible that an item which is just acceptable to pass the MOT would be rejected by a vehicle technician as past its service life if the vehicle were serviced immediately following MOT test. The MOT relates only to the condition of the vehicle on the day of test and should not be relied on to provide evidence that the vehicle is in good condition – not all vehicle systems are tested or checked as part of the MOT. Your MOT test can be carried out up to one calendar month in advance and the time carried on to your new certificate on production of your old MOT certificate at time of MOT test.If the vehicle is having its first MOT then you can carry up to one calendar month on using the V5 (log book) if produced at the time of MOT test.You can now tax or Sorn your vehicle on the internet at www.dvla.gov.uk/vehiclelicence More detailed information can be found on the V.O.S.A Website www.vosa.gov.uk
